The Future Leaders Delegation recognizes how deeply the Kamogawa is valued by the people of Kyoto, and we want to ensure their peace, privacy and environment are respected as BitSummit continues to grow. In recent years, some informal post‑event gatherings along the river have begun to impact local residents, so this year we’d like to encourage attendees to celebrate and reconnect in private venues rather than on the riverbanks. By choosing spaces that don’t disturb the community, we can show our appreciation for the hospitality of both the BitSummit organizers, and the city, and help keep Kyoto’s public spaces clean, calm and welcoming for everyone.

The members of the delegation would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the lands on which we each live, work, and play. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and extend that respect to First Peoples around the world.
